Donald Eugene Cook, 82, resident of Eldorado passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg. Don was born May 13, 1934 in Dixon, IL to the late Lamon and Eva (Dearing) Cook. He married the former Lena Sue Long who survives. Don retired from Continental Can in St. Louis, MO. He and his wife pastored the Locust Street Tabernacle in Eldorado for 15 years. Recently he had attended the River of Life Church in Harrisburg. Don enjoyed woodworking and playing the saxophone. In addition to his wife he is survived by five children; Carl Cook of Melrose Park, Robin Cook of Harrisburg, Wendell Wilson of OK, Richard McGehee of Eldorado, Bonnie (Jim) Herren of Harrisburg, a sister; Bonnie (Jim) Kerr of Harrisburg, a grandson; Phantom Cook of Melrose Park, a great granddaughter; Lilian Cook of North Lake, 10 step grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Pastor Gentry and Pastor Boswell officiating. Burial will be in Lindale Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the funeral home.
