Faye Huckabee, 90, lifelong resident of Eldorado passed away Saturday morning, August 15, 2015, surrounded by her family at Fountainview Nursing Home in Eldorado. Faye was born August 2, 1925, in Carrier Mills to the late Walter and Essie (Steapelton) Murray. She was a lifetime member of the Eldorado VFW Auxiliary and a member of the Eldorado American Legion Auxiliary. Faye is survived by three daughters; Pat (Steve) Caraway of Eldorado, Cindy (Anita Petersen) Huckabee of Murphysboro, Kim (Danny Hina) Huckabee of Sturgis Kentucky, grandchildren; Samantha Carter, Leslie Carl, Linda Carter, Jackie Maloney, Chris Smith, Billy Unthank, Linda Unthank, Gary Wayne Unthank, Christopher Unthank, 19 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son; George Unthank, a half sister; Lela VanMeter, and a great great grandson Landon Bradley. Cremation has been accorded and a graveside memorial will be held at Dodd Cemetery and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made to the family and left at the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses
