Franklin G. Brown, 82, resident of Carrier Mills passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky. Frank was born March 27, 1933 in Harrisburg to the late Wilbur and Nora (Edwards) Brown.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On December 31, 1977 he married the former Sarah J. Spirling who survives. He was a retired coal miner, a member of the UMWA and the Harrisburg American Legion.  He was a longtime faithful member of the Bankston Fork Baptist Church where he was the Senior Mens Sunday School Leader and a Choir Member.  He loved his church and his church family.  Frank had a passion for photography. In addition to his wife Sarah, he is survived by a son; James Murphy Bowling Green, KY, two daughters; Misti Labs of Gary IN, Cynthia (Duane) Johnson of Metropolis, four brothers; Richard Lee (Rebecca) Brown of AR, Bill (Cathy) Brown of Harrisburg, Bob (Leda) Brown of Herod, Jim Brown of Harrisburg, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter; Tacye Chiluski, two brothers; Wilbur Brown, Jr., Donald Brown and a grandchild Sarah Rose. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm Monday, January 11, 2016 at Bankston Fork Baptist Church in Harrisburg with Pastor David Smith officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, 10:00 am to service time.  Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family via the website www.colonialterracefuneralhome.com
