James Marshall Grisham, 88, resident of Eldorado passed away at Integrity Healthcare of Marion. Marshall was born October 4, 1929 in Eldorado to the late Omar W. and Hallie (Leathers) Grisham. On April 5, 1952 he married the former Barbara Lou Hudgins who preceded him in death. Marshall was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of Star General Baptist Church. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Marshall is survived by two daughters; Joy (Thomas) Boring of Carmi, Jill (Wesley) Ellet of Marion, three brothers; Glen (Delores) Grisham of Eldorado, Stanley (Mary Ruth) Grisham of Hopkinsville, KY, Larry (Gathel) Grisham of Mantino, four grandchildren; Matthew Ellet, James Ellet, Ryan Murphy, Alan Murphy and two great grandchildren; Tami Ellet and River Ellet. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a sister Louise Ornellas. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Phelps officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 10:00 am to service time at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Douglass Cemetery with military honors. In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
