I worked or a short time with Karen while she was at Priester Aviation in Wheeling Illinois (Pal-Waukee Airport). I remember her as being so very nice and smart and helpful to everyone. My sympathies to her entire family. God Bless

When I had open-heart surgery, you sent me a necklace which held a gold heart that appeared to be patched together with tape. Well, I healed then, but I need some more tape for my broken heart, honey! The sentiments on the plaque you sent me are so true: You as my best friend were indeed the sister that destiny forgot to give me. How wonderful to have had you as soul sister and best friend for 71 years! Sincere condolences to the many who love sweet Karen.

My symapathies to family and friends who knew Karen well. While I was re-aquianted with her after family reunions began again and didn't know her well, she was always a vibrant presence for us all. We would't have preserved the family history or known all it's greater depths without her. She will be missed. Wishing you all much peace and may God hold you in his hands.
God Bless,
Becky Davis (daughter of Sue Stobart Jones)

I literally have known Karen all of my life. We grew up next door to each other on Granger Street. We had toy telephones, with the wire going over the driveway to each house. Karen's bedroom was on the other side of the house so her phone was in her parent's bedroom. I know they enjoyed that. I have many, many memories of Karen and her family. I think she invented the first back pack. I have a movie of her with a box and ropes that she'd made into a back pack. She is loved and will be missed. Love, Sara
