Kathleen Regina Ferrell, 83, of Maryville, Tenn., formerly of Eldorado, Ill., passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 of Asbury Place in Maryville. She was born February 1, 1933 in Chicago to the late Matthew & Ann McDonough. She was a 1954 graduate of Mercy School of Nursing in Chicago and also attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Kathleen was a Registered Nurse and Homemaker who enjoyed Tai Chi, Yoga, and world travel particularly throughout Asia. Survived by her husband of fifty seven years, Denton Ferrell, M.D. of Maryville; one son, Kenton Ferrell, O.D. of Knoxville, Tenn.; one brother, Thomas McDonough of Philadelphia, Penn. Visitation for Kathleen will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado. The Rev. Russell Helton will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: St. Jude’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. There will be a private burial.
