Linda L. (Quigley) Younger

Linda L. Younger, 69, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at her residence. Linda was born April 18, 1947 in Alton, Illinois to the late John and Margaret (Thorpe) Quigley. She married Robert “Bob” Younger who survives.  Linda was employed at the Egyptian Health Department in Eldorado.  In her earlier years Linda was a twirling instructor, she was a Shag Bark Girl Scout Council member and instructor. Later, she was an active member of the Eldorado Town and Country Days Committee and  a past Junior Woman’s Club Member.  Linda was very active with the Eldorado Junior Beta Club and a supporter of all Eldorado Athletics.  In addition to her husband, Bob, she is survived by a sister; Lori Quigley, a brother; Larry (Earlene) Quigley of Carbondale, nieces and nephews; Andrea Quigley, Angela Ragland and John Quigley, her God children; Rachael Stafford, Caitlyn Stafford both of Eldorado, Brother and sister-in-laws; Eddie and Margaret Ann Younger of OH and Tim and Judy Younger of PA. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving stepfather; Ralph Bixler and her grandmother Flora Bixler.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Phelps officiating.  Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 pm Wednesday March 8, 2017 at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Eldorado Town and Country Days Committee and will be accepted at the funeral home.
