Loren L. Morris, 79, resident of Eldorado passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Herrin Hospital. Loren was born June 14, 1937 in Carmi, IL to the late Clarence and Emma (Maurer) Morris. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. Loren married the former Shirley Orr who preceded him in death. Loren worked as a painting contractor until his retirement. He was a member of Star Church. Loren is survived by a son: Kevin (Carla) Morris of GA, two daughters; Cheryl (Dwayne) Stanberry of WI, Kim (Bryan) Brewer of Oregon, IL, seven grandchildren; Wes (Traci) Morris, Andrea (Matt) Morris, Justin Hilligoss, Travis Hilligoss, Ashley (Devin) Heyob, Bryce (Marie) Brewer, Brandon Brewer and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by an infant sister. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, January 13, 2017 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Phelps officiating. Burial will be in Lindale Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the funeral home.
