Lucy V. McConnell, 91, resident of Harrisburg passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Harrisburg Medical Center. Lucy was born April 2, 1925 in Wasson, Illinois to the late Ernest and Grace (Bramlet) Read. She married Raymond Earl McConnell who preceded her in death November 3, 2001. Lucy was a School Teacher teaching at Texas City and later at the Raleigh schools. Lucy was an educator but her true love in life was being a farmers wife and a homemaker. She had a passion for quilting. She was the longest living member of Union Grove Baptist Church. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Lucy is survived by a daughter; Ann (Victor) Frost of Harrisburg, four grandchildren; Jonathan (Megan) Frost of Nashville, TN, Emily Frost of Harrisburg, Lisa (Clint) Prather of Norris City, Nathan Feazel of Harrisburg and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was recently preceded in death by a daughter Ora Rae Feazel. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday December 3, 2016 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Mike Weaver officiating. Visitation will be in 11:00 am to funeral time on Saturday. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
