Michael L. Wilson

Michael L. Wilson, 63,  departed this life surrounded by family and friends on July 23, 2015 after a long courageous battle with cancer.  Mike was born in Peoria, Illinois to Nancy Janet (Burns) and Frank Hiram Wilson.  In 1970, Mike married the former Patricia Cavey and two children were born to this union; Michael Lee Wilson II and Franklin Robert Wilson.  Mike later married Cynthia "Cindy" (Clore) and they have been together for 33 years.
Mike and Cindy started a business called "Fetch" with very little capital and turned it into a thriving business that is still successfully operating 27 years later under new ownership.  Later, they bought and ran The Gap in Herod, Illinois for a few years.  Most recently Mke was employed as the maintenance man for Family Counseling Center; a job he truly loved.
Mike's passion was arrow head hunting, and he had a vast knowledge of local Indian atifacts and their history.  He also loved his pets like children.
Mike leaves behind his wife, Cindy; son Frank and Brandy Wilson of Rock Hill, South Carolina; grandchildren Frankie and Beth Wilson of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Brandon, Tyler, and Emily Wilson of Port Charlotte Florida.  Mike is also survived by his brother Don Wilson of Harrisburg.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Jim; and his son Michael Lee Wilson II.  He is also survived by his pets Melina and CoCo.  
Michael has been cremated and there will be no service per his request.
