Shelby Lynn-Goldie Gass, 22, resident of Eldorado passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Methodist University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Shelby was born April 26, 1994 in Evansville, Indiana to Jimmy and Annette (Payne) Gass.  Shelby was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  She was a 2016 graduate of Brownsville School where she received several awards and always displaying her contagious spirit.  She was a Special Olympics Athlete on the state and local level.  She was a “Honorary” member of the Eldorado High School Cheerleaders and the Eldorado High School Football Team. In addition to her parents she is survived by a brother Tyler Gass of Eldorado, sisters Taylor and Jimma Gass of Eldorado, paternal grandparents; Ralph, Jr. and Sheila Gass of Eldorado, maternal grandparents; Gabriel and Sharon Payne of Eldorado, special uncle Troy (Tina) Payne of Vandalia, special aunt Tammy (John) Bayne of Raleigh, aunt Pam and uncle Chuck Jones of Eldorado, cousins; Eva, Autumn, Eli & Aric Payne;  Wes, Josh, and Kaci Bayne and her best friend Kim Payne. Shelby was preceded in death by her paternal great grandparents; Woolard and Lois Allen, Ralph, Sr. and Blanche Gass, maternal great grandparents; Harvey and Inez Goldie Pfeiffer and James and Janetta Payne.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, February 17, 2017 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with Fr. Mark Stec officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 2-7 pm at the funeral home.  In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brownsville School and will be accepted at the funeral home.
