Sue Hammersley, 71, resident of Eldorado passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at her residence. Sue was born September 28, 1945 in Harrisburg, Illinois to the late Hobert and Mary F. (Wheatley) Beal. She married Larry G. Hammersley who survives. In addition to her husband she is survived by a son; James “Jamie” White of Hanna City, IL, a daughter; Kimberly (Philip) Burton of Cave-in-rock, two brothers; Albert Beal of Paducah, Glen Beal of Metropolis, a sister; Violet (Roy) Ackley of GA, five grandchildren; Mindy Alvey of Galatia, Justin Drone of Eldorado, Tyler McCormick of Galatia, Seth White of Harrisburg, Nathan White of Eldorado and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers; Harvey Beal, an infant Harold Wayne Wheatley and a sister Shirley Middleton. Following Sue’s wishes she will be cremated following a private service.
