Wilburn Ray Goss, 78, of Eldorado, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. He was born on October 10, 1939 in Eldorado, the son of the late Dwain Oran and Edith (Gladson) Goss. Wilburn married the former Bonnie Louise Hargrove on March 17, 1969. He was in the U.S. Army for eight and a half years and was a life member of the Eldorado VFW. Also owned and operated Goss Painting for fifty years. Christian by faith he was a member of the Eldorado Church of God. Wilburn is survived by his wife, Bonnie Goss of Eldorado; one son, James Robert Ruphard of Eldorado; daughter, Misty Ray (Corey) Pugh of Raleigh, Miss.; daughters, Tara, Tammy and Tonya Goss; one sister, Mellisa Banks of Eldorado; one brother, Dwain Lee Goss of Paducah, Ky.; nine grandchildren, Nicole, Paul, Britt, David, William, Sara, Trinity, Faith and Damian. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Bonnie Faye Davis; one brother, Paul Goss; and one sister, Ruby Martin. As per family request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family or to the charity of your choice. Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado in charge of arrangements.
