Wilda May Massey, 86, of Harrisburg, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. The daughter of the late Joseph Benjamin and Virdie Elsie (Humphries) Watkins, she was born on the 29th of July of 1931 in Dexter, Mo. She was a church member of the Apostolic Church of Wasson. Wilda is survived by five sons, Thomas Massey of Harrisburg, Joe and Donna Massey of Gleason, Tenn., Keith and Debbie Massey of Trezevant, Tenn., James Massey of Eldorado, Larry and Maria Massey also of Eldorado; four daughters, Betty and Wesley Bates of Puryear, Tenn., Linda Massey of Harrisburg, Brenda Russell of Harrisburg, Wilma and Ewell Bates of Ripley, Tenn.; four sisters, Mary Elsie Santos of Pompano Beach, Fla., Mary Brackin of Tuscumbia, Ala., Carrie Meeks of Muscle Sholes, Ala., Elizabeth Woods of Alabama; sixteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Leroy, Ray, and Stanley Watkins. Visitation for Wilda will be held on Saturday, December 30th from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the Colonial terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado. The Rev. Nathan Prather will officiate the service. Burial will be at the Cottage Grove Cemetery in rural Eldorado.
