Elizabeth Louise “Betty” Hale, 87, resident of Raleigh passed away Friday, August 16, 2019 at Eldorado Nursing and Rehab. Betty was born August 12, 1932 in Ridgway, Illinois to the late Cecil and Zerita (Pfister) Drone. On June 18, 1952 she married Bennie Charles Hale who preceded her in death in 1992. She was a member of the Raleigh First Baptist Church. Betty had a love for quilting, her family and being a farmers wife. She is survived by a son: Michael B. (Paulette) Hale of Equality, two daughters: Peggy Lee Hale Miles of Evansville, Indiana, Barbara Louise (Bill) Gibbs of Golconda, a brother: Denny (Delores) Drone of Springfield, nine grandchildren: Christina (Jordan) Schwartz, Andy (Nikki) Miles, Brian Miles, Kerry (Ryne) Johnson, Kurtis Mitchell, Kelsey Kraper, Steven McEwing, Stephanie (Robert) Patterson, Ben Donley, 13 great grandchildren: Savannah Sanders, Mrranda (Dylan) Webb, Evan Patterson Moseley, Ethan Patterson, Gregory Hale, Cassidy Hale, Mason McEwing, Andrew McEwing, Addi McEwing, Remi Schwartz, Kinlee Miles, Rowan Schwartz, Gavin Bradley, six great great grandchildren: Parleigh Sanders, Mylan Webb, Axyn Sanders, Rynleigh Webb, Memphis Moseley, Laedyn Heavener and a sister-in-law: Dorothy Drone of Altamont. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers: Bud Drone, Bill Drone, Sammy Drone and a sister: Theresa Drone and a grandson: Gregory Hale. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Keith Ital officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 am to service time on Sunday.
