Bill Fry

William J. “Bill” Fry, 85, lifelong resident of Eldorado passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at his residence.  Bill was born November 11, 1932 in Eldorado to the late George Sr. and Jean (Walker) Fry. Bill graduated from Eldorado High School class of 1950. He married the former Laverne “Vernie” Drone who preceded him in death in 2015. At the age of 18, Bill started working at Nuway in Eldorado and later became co-owner and after 67 years was still there to serve his customers and friends. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eldorado, St. Mary’s Men’s Club and the Eldorado Men’s Club. Bill is survived by a son: John Fry of Eldorado, 2 daughters: Barb (Patrick) Boulds of Eldorado, Kim (Carter) Reed of KY, five grandchildren: Matt (Ansley) Boulds of Eldorado, Jessica Boulds of Eldorado, Bradley Boulds of Eldorado, Garrett Reed of KY, Libby Reed of KY and a sister-in-law: Pauline Fry of Eldorado. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a son: Matthew J. Fry and five siblings: George Fry, Joe Fry, Mary Rodgers, Annie Gasaway and Nellie Fry.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Monday, July 30, 2018 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Eldorado with Monsignor Joseph Lawler officiating.  Visitation will be 3-8 pm Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Eldorado.
