Billy Joe Briddick, 88, resident of Eldorado passed away Monday. June 17, 2019 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. Billy was born April 30, 1931 in Eldorado to the late William and Mary E. (Neely) Briddick. He married the former Genieve “Jenny” Kingston who survives. Billy owned and operated Briddick Heating and Air in Eldorado for many years. He was an accomplished tinsmith and woodworker. He was a member of College Heights Baptist Church in Eldorado. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son: Alyn Bruce (Tamara) Briddick of Eldorado, three daughters: Yolanda (JP) Woolard of Eldorado, Sandra (Jim) Butler of Newburgh, IN, Letha (Bert) Ashby of Eldorado, a brother: David Briddick of Eldorado, grandchildren: Jaymi (Doug) Fitzpatrick, Brad (Jennifer Dikes) Woolard, Julie (Jeff Fisher) Cherry, Adam (Jaime) Briddick, Melissa (Robbie) Sturgill, Whitney (Neal) Hale, Brantley Wideman, Wyatt Wideman, great grandchildren: Kyle Fitzpatrick, Carter Cherry, Carlie Cherry, Tia (Brandon) Powell, Mallory Briddick, Abigail Briddick, Austin (Brooklyn Wright) Sturgill, Jaxon Sturgill, Grayson Sturgill, Ethan Hale, Evan Hale and a great great grandson, Asher Sturgill. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Russell Helton officiating. Burial will be in Cottage Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until the service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
