On Tuesday, September 25, 2018 Donald Kevin Wilson, loving father and friend, passed away at the age of 65. Don was born on March 25, 1953 in Peoria, IL to the late Frank H. Wilson and Nancy Janet Wilson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Wilson of Rosiclaire, IL and James Wilson of Tampa, FL. Surviving are two daughters, Jada (Brian) Banks of Marion, IL and Amber (Michael) Evans of Pittsburgh, PA. Don also leaves behind six grandchildren, Hailey, Chase, Cooper, Josiah, Meila and Michael, as well as special friend and partner Lisa Mitchell. Over the years Don was employed at Wilson Amaco and the coal mines. He also did a lot of construction work, including helping to build Players Island Casino in Mesquite, NV. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, looking for arrow heads, fishing and hunting. He acquired his scuba diving certification and experienced sky diving. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be deeply missed by them.Per Don’s wishes, his body will be cremated and a private burial of his ashes will be held in Boulden Cemetery in Pope County, IL.
