James “Jim” Edward Wargel, 75, of Mt. Carmel, formally of Eldorado, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Eldorado Nursing and Rehab. Jim was born December 12, 1941 in Eldorado to the late George Franklin and Johanna Barbara (Naas) Wargel. Jim was a retired coal miner. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Jim is survived by a son; Jerry E. Wargel of St. Peters, MO, a brother; Lawrence Wargel of Eldorado, four sisters; Lillian Miller of Evansville, Emily Bridges of Henderson, KY, Mary Ruth Raby of MT and Linda Wargel of Eldorado. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers; Paul, Donald and Frederick, and two sisters; Virginia Hobbs and Shirley Wolf. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, March 11, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eldorado. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Friday, March 10, 2017 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7pm.
