JoAnn Lands Obituary

JoAnn Lands, 88, resident of Harrisburg passed away at 12:00am Sunday, July 28, 2019 at her residence. JoAnn was born June 22, 1931 in Harrisburg to the late Edward and Lou (Ellison) Vaughn. On September 3, 1949 she married Bill Mac Lands who preceded her in death. JoAnn worked at Harrisburg Medical Center until retirement. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by a son: Terry (Becky) Lands of Harrisburg, 8 grandchildren: Mac (Mina) Lands, Kelli Hathaway, Amber (Larry) Smith, Bret Lands, Jessica Cowgill, Nicholas (Sara) Lands, Zachary (Mercedes) Lands, Billy Lands, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, a sister-in-law: Vera Vaughn of Harrisburg, a brother-n-law: Randy (Treva) Lands,  a special niece: Lisa Vaughn of Harrisburg and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 2 sons: John Lands and Bill Lands, Jr., a brother: Lowell Vaughn and 3 sisters: Loretta Thomas, Ilene Tuttle and Isolea Darnell. JoAnn was her grandchildren’s biggest fan.  She had a big loving and giving heart. Graveside services will be at 2pm Friday, August 2, 2019 at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg with Ray Wallace officiating.  Those attending should go directly to the cemetery.  Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family via the website www.colonialterracefuneralhome.com
