Johnie Mae Dallape, 94, resident of Eldorado passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the Harrisburg Medical Center. Johnie Mae was born in Benton, Illinois on May 16, 1925 to the late Johnie Henry and Martha Myrtle (Beltz) Chaney. She married Stanley Dallape who preceded her in death. She was a member of Star Church. Johnie Mae worked in a dress factory, for Ray’s Produce and as a waitress. She loved to volunteer and be with her church family. She was a cheerleader for Upwards Basketball, volunteered at the food pantry, volunteered for the Red Cross and gave her time at the Closet of Second Blessings. Her favorite pastimes were reading, sewing and attending car shows with her son Roger. Johnie Mae is survived by a son: Roger (Sheila) Dallape of West Frankfort, a daughter: Linda Erwin of Benton, a brother: Clarence Chaney of MI, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter: Sue Conner, three brothers: Carl, Paul and Harold, a sister: Alice Jenkins Adams, two infant siblings, a grandson: Johnny Dallape, a daughter-in-law: Diane Dallape and a son-in-law: Donnie Erwin. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Aaron Phelps officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 am to service time at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. In addition to flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Star Youth and will be accepted at the funeral home.
