Leola E. Barrett, 94, resident of Eldorado passed away Saturday July 8, 2017 at her residence. Leola was born August 26, 1922 in Rosiclare, Illinois to the late Henry and Minnie L. (Vaughn) Martin. She married Philip Barrett who preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of the St. Mary’s Alter Society. Leola is survived by four sons; Dewain (Carolyn) Barrett of Eldorado, Larry (Mary Ann) Barrett of Eldorado, Fr. Thomas Barrett of Vienna, Adrian (Alice) Barrett of Florida, a daughter; Clara E. Morgan of Eldorado, 12 grandchildren; Lisa (Matt) Partridge, Nancy (Charles) Lax, Christopher (Tammy) Barrett, Barbara (Mac) Haenel, Michael Barrett, David (Courtney) Barrett, Tammy (Chris) York, Shane (Shelley) Morgan, Denise (Chris) Rehkoph, Shelly Morgan, William (Garnet) Dowling, Kurt (Stacy) Barrett, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her step father John Stone, a sister Hazel Waltz and a granddaughter Brandy Barrett. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:00 am Thursday July 13, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eldorado with Fr. Thomas Barrett and Fr. Abraham Adejoh officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday 5-7 pm at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with a prayer service held at 7:00 pm. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Eldorado.
