Richard Merrill Moore, 78, resident of Eldorado passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 at Ferrell Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. Richard was born August 10, 1940 in Omaha to the late Bernard and Marie (Utley) Moore. He married the former Janet Sue Blackman who survives. He was a member of St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Richard was part owner of Bramlet John Deere in Eldorado. In August of 2001, Richard began volunteering his time at Colonial Terrace Funeral home where he became a staple there. In addition to his wife Janet, he is survived by one son: Mark (Myra) Moore of Omaha, four grandchildren: Matthew (Emily) Moore of St. Louis, MO, Michael Moore of Eldorado, Kelly (Kelly) Phelps of Harrisburg, Aaron (Arianne) Phelps of Eldorado and a host of friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway. Visitation will be 4:00pm to 7:00pm Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with a prayer service at 7:30pm and a chalice service at 7:00pm. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Eldorado. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Belleville Cursillo and will be accepted at the funeral home.
