Stanley R. Carpenter

Stanley R. Carpenter, 67, resident of Eldorado passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Harrisburg Medical Center. Stanley was born March 31, 1951 in Eldorado to the late Walter and Jayetta (Perkins) Carpenter.  After graduating Eldorado High School, he attended SIU.  He was a supporter and fan of all Eldorado Eagle Sports. Stanley was a painter by trade and has made many friends in the Saline County area over the years. Stanley was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed hiking, camping, canoeing and spending time with his buddies.  Stanley is survived by his sister: Susie (Allen) Stallings of Indiana, his brother: Walter Lynn Carpenter, Jr. of AZ, a niece: Sarah (Steven) Stallings-Hall of Indiana and his canine companion Hattie.  A celebration of Stanley’s life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado.
