Wayne Johnson, 77, resident of Eldorado passed away August 10, 2017 at Ferrell Hospital. Wayne was born October 23, 1939 in Raleigh, IL to the late Lacy and Myrtle (Sullivan) Johnson. He served in the US Navy for 6 years during the Korean War. He married Jeanna Marie Johnson who preceded him in death March 31, 2000. Wayne is survived by four children; Tracy and Charolette Johnson of McLeansboro, Stacey and Steve Murolach of McLeansboro, Jesse Johnson of McLeansboro, Michelle Mickey Ashby of Eldorado, a brother; Kenny Johnson of Eldorado, 21 grandchildren; Brady and Jordan Ashby, Jacob Ashby, Lisa and Dylan, heather and Robert, Mair and Jason Kirsch, Teri and BJ Webb, Lacey and Dereck, Megan and Matt, Dustin and Laura, Jennifer and John, Jonathan and Alex, 32 great grandchildren, several he called his grandchildren; Charlie Emery, Loren Wood, Kallison Hays, Gabe Sisco, Kory “Smiley” Strickland, Kyle DeBose and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a great grandson; Kamdyn Michael Wayne Ashby, two brothers; Robbie Caldwell and JL Johnson, and a great nephew Stephen Caldwell. Wayne was a loving father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed. In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated and a family gathering will take place on Sunday August 13, 2017 at Karel Park in Eldorado.
