Ada Marie (Vaughn) Milligan

Ada Marie Milligan, a longtime resident of Harrisburg, IL, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2020.  She was surrounded by her family in the home that she loved and shared with her husband of 58 years. 
She was born August 23, 1943 to Norma Jean (Brittain) and James T.  Vaughn of Elizabethtown, Illinois. 
Ada was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put her family above all else.
She enjoyed the outdoors and spent most of her later years working in her yard, walking down the bike  trial behind her house or simply swinging on her porch with her husband and family. 
She is survived by her husband Bethel G. Milligan, sons Michael D. Milligan of Marion, Illinois, wife Stephanie and children Darrick, Rachel, Hunter, Mitchell, Carlie, Brianna and Andrew and Joseph A. Milligan of Harrisburg, Illinois and his children, Jessica Lynn , Anna Jane and Harrison Joseph.  She also leaves behind a very special daughter, Melinda G. Dixon of Johnston City and her husband Bill along with their children Kalyn, Tyler, Taylor, Wyatt, and Braden.  Ada was also blessed with 5 great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Marrick, Scarlett, Camila and Javier. 
Surviving siblings include James G. Vaughn and Carol Wojcik.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, younger sister Lisa Marie Vaughn and brothers Russell Michael Vaughn and Richard Joseph Vaughn. 
She will also be dearly missed by many others including the man who introduced her to her husband, Mr. Wayne Wilbanks, dear friend of the family Robert (Bob) Thompson and many nieces and nephews. 
Ada also held a special place in her heart for those she loved as her own children, Brent A Moore (R.I.P.) and Sherri Mecca. 
There will be a service to honor her life at the Cave Hill Missionary Church in Cave-In-Rock, Illinois on Saturday, March 7 at 1:00 p.m.
