Ann (Spence) Winter

Ann Winter, age 86 of Harrisburg, passed away Sunday December 5th at her residence. Ann was born October 14, 1935 in White County, IL to the late Raymond and Sophia Spence. Ann married Glen H. Winter on April 17, 1954 and he proceeded her in death.  Ann was a resident of Cottage Township for 62 years and she was proud to be a farmers wife. She was a Saline Co. Homemaker, Saline Co. 4H leader and served as a election Judge for Cottage Township for many years. She was also a member of Big Ridge Baptist Church for 60 Plus years. Ann enjoyed working puzzles and tending her garden. But it’s safe to say her greatest joy in life was spending time with her Granddaughters Trista and Tracey and now her Great Grandchildren Rylan, Addyson, Hayes and Hattie. Ann is survived by her son Paul Winter and wife Brenda; Granddaughter Trista Palmer and her Husband Jacob; Great Grandchildren Rylan and Addyson Palmer all of Harrisburg. Granddaughter Tracey Hornsby and husband Matt; Great Grandchildren Hayes and Hattie Hornsby of Franklin, Georgia; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Ann was preceded in death by her husband Glen Winter and parents Raymond and Sophia Spence. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. DeWayne Taylor will officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 11:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm.  Burial will be in Big Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Saline County Stockman’s Association or the Saline County 4-H and will be accepted at the funeral home.
