Bonnie Dee (Brown) Schrieber

Bonnie Dee Brown Schrieber, 92, resident of Eldorado passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 and went home to be with the Lord.  Bonnie was born June 11, 1930 in Broughton, Illinois to Everett and Iva Pearl (Creek) Brown. She was converted at age 14 and attended Baptist and Methodist Church in Broughton. She married Harold Schrieber on August 14, 1947 at age 17 and was married until Harold passed away on Feb 28, 2000. On September 4, 1950 they welcomed their only child Sherry Diane. They lived in and around Mt. Vernon, Indiana from 1951-1965 when Harold was transferred back to Illinois where he retired from Indiana Farm Bureau Oil Co.  Bonnie attended Bufkin Mt. Pleasant Church until they attended First Methodist in Eldorado and later College Heights Baptist Church as long as health permitted. Later she enjoyed church on TV. She was past president o the VFW Post 3479 Ladies Auxillary from 1965-1966. She loved playing her piano, especially religious music. She leaves her daughter Sherry Diane Fisher of Lakewood, Colorado, two grandchildren: Samantha DeAnne Fisher and Eric Vincent Fisher both of Colorado, In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister: Shirley Baker, half brothers: James R. Poshard, Lavern Brown, Audrey Brown, Daniel Everette Brown, 2 half sisters: Allen Bicket and Nadine Jones. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022 with Rev. Russell Helton and Andrew Hastie officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday 11:00 a.m. until service time.  Burial will be in Gholson Cemetery near Broughton.
