Brooke Nicole Ande

Brooke Nicole Ande, 36, resident of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Brooke was born November 30, 1987 to Greg Ande and the former Julie Williams. She graduated from EHS class of 2006 and went on to SIC and earned a nursing degree and has worked as an RN at Wabash Senior Living and Rehabilitation in Carmi in the memory care department for the last 14 years. Brooke loved her patients as they did her. She attended the New Life Christian Center in Equality. Brook was a proud boy mom and loved her boys with all her heart. She was proud of her boys and shared their love of sports. She could always be seen in the crowd cheering them on. She was part of a travel ball family and enjoyed many weekends supporting and cheering on her boys. Brooke always saw the value in others. She greeted everyone with a hug and when she left she always said, “I love you and I will be praying for you.” She left everyone better than she found them. She will live on through the lives of everyone she touched. Brooke is survived by her parents: Greg Ande of Eldorado and Julie and James Unthank of Eldorado, two sons: Camron Ande of Harrisburg, Landon Ande of Eldorado, a sister: Ashton (Adam) Stanley of Eldorado, grandfather: Don Unthank, aunts and uncles: Shirley Holbrook, David and Marilyn Sizemore, Mike and Beth Ande, Bill and Vicki Ande, Keith and Denise Ande, Brad and Keely Williams, Dan Bachtold, a special cousin: Leslie Powell and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother Brennan Lane Unthank, grandparents: Robert and Doris Ande and Bud and Vickie Williams, Shirley Unthank and an uncle: Donald Holbrook. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday, June 24, 2024 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with Rev. Blake Clayton officiating. Visitation will be 3-7 pm Sunday, June 23, 2024 at the funeral Home.
