Charles "Chuck" E. Mahoney

Charles E. “Chuck” Mahoney, 77, resident of Eldorado passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Chuck was born August 6, 1944 to the late Lawrence and Margaret (Basinger) Mahoney. He married the former Sharon Davis who preceded him in death in 2004. Chuck served in the US Army. He was a life member of the VFW Eldorado Post 3479 and a member of the Harrisburg American Legion George Hart Post 167. He was a member of Local 1165 Glazers Local Union. Chuck is survived by his daughter, Kelli Mahoney of Eldorado, three brothers: Bob Mahoney of Owensboro, Kentucky, John Mahoney of Eldorado, Leo Mahoney of Eldorado and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a brother Larry Mahoney. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm Sunday, October 24, 2021 at St. Marys Cemetery in Eldorado with military rites. Rev. Russell Helton will officiate. There will be no visitation, those attending should go directly to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Eldorado VFW Post 3479, 1201 Veterans Drive, Eldorado, IL 62930 or St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1158 Second Street, Eldorado, IL 62930.
