Coy Ray Vaught, 63, resident of Evansville, Indiana passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. Coy was born January 14, 1962 in Aurora, Illinois to the late Jimmie Ray and Eva Marie (Pinnell) Vaught. He married the former Linda Lou DeBose who survives. He was retired from Deaconess Health Systems. Coy enjoyed landscaping with his father, his fish aquarium, flower gardening, a his daily trip to Wal-Mart. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son: James Thomas “J.T.” (Amanda) Vaught of Evansville, Indiana, a daughter: Katie Lynn Vaught of Chandler, Indiana, a brother: Robert (Heather) Vaught of Harrisburg, a sister: Sherri (Mike) Arnold of Evansville, grandchildren: Harley Jane Vaught, Raelyn Avery Vaught, Nova Ray Vaught, Billie Jo Brokaw, Baylei McKenna Brokaw, Brelean Taylor Brokaw, Dash Andrew Elliott, Alayna Reneelynn Byard and Amada Marie Sepulveda. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Monday, March 3, 2025 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Bret Meyers officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 am until service time on Monday. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks for contributions to help offset funeral expenditures and will be accepted at the funeral home.
