Cynthia Jo Carney, 66, resident of Eldorado passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at her residence. Cynthia was born January 24, 1956 in Harrisburg to the late Maurice L., Sr. and Patricia Jo (McFarland) Peek. Cynthia married Franklin D. Carney who preceded her in death. She worked as a floral designer prior to retirement. Cynthia is survived by a son: Justin Carney of Eldorado, a daughter: Tanya Williams of Eldorado, two brothers: Maurice L. Peek, Jr. of Eldorado, David B. Peek of Eldorado, a half brother: Amos Peek of Indiana, three half sisters: Karen Mattingley of Eldorado, Tammy (Bob) Oliver of IN, Phyllis Folly of KY, a grandson: Kurt Carney of Eldorado and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers: John Peek, Martin Peek and Bill Peek. Funeral services will be at noon, Friday, February 18, 2022 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Russell Helton officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Tates Chapel Cemetery in Galatia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
