D.O. "Mousey" Rettinger Obituary

D.O. “Mousey” Rettinger, 96, resident of Las Vegas, NV, passed away December 10, 2018. On March 20, 1922 he was born in Eldorado to the late Harvey and Helen (Hughes) Rettinger. He graduated from Eldorado Washington School, Eldorado Township High School and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with both BS and MS degrees. He served in the US Navy, serving as a Navy Pharm/Mate 1st Class and served on L.S.T. 360 which participated in the D-Day invasion of France. He is survived by two daughters: Sherri Baker, Debbie Kirkpatrick, a son: Richard Rettinger, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a sister: Hilda Rettinger Bozarth of Eldorado and several nieces and nephews living in the midwest area. Memorial services and full military rites will be held January 9, 2019 at the Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV.
