David Ray Harrawood

David Ray Harrawood, 74, resident of Galatia passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Ferrell Hospital. David was born March 10, 1951 in Eldorado to the late Raymond and Lillian ‘Beryl’ (Cummins) Harrawood. David loved trail riding, horses and most of all, his family. He married his high school sweetheart, Debra (Upton) Harrawood on November 7, 1969. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters; Kim (Mitch) Jenkins of Galatia, Susan (Clint) Mosby of McLeansboro, brother, Stan (Reeba) Harrawood of Galatia, a very special aunt, Betty Pool of Harrisburg, his beloved grandchildren; Alayna (Daine) Hish, Alexa (Tyler) Murphy, Kelly Mosby, Jace (Grace) Jenkins, Cole Mosby, and his beloved great grandchildren; Barrett Hish, Cayler Hish, as well as several nieces, nephews and special friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Payne. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday, September 12, 2025 at the Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Pastor Jacob Gray officiating. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the same location. Burial will be at Lindale Cemetery.
