Donnie Awalt Obituary

Donnie D. Awalt, 84, resident of Eldorado passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the Wabash Christian Village in Carmi. Donnie was born October 19, 1937 in Eldorado to the late Harold and Ethel (Bean) Awalt. He served in the US Navy. He married the former Barbara Ann Minor who preceded him in death on November 21, 2021. Don worked for General Motors in Willow Springs, Illinois until his retirement. He was a member of Oasis Community Church in Harrisburg. Donnie is survived by two sons: Jeff (Lynette) Awalt of Carbon Hill, Christopher (Samantha) Awalt of Plainfield, three daughters: Kimberly (Mike) Smith of TX, Melissa (Michael) Stevenson of Lockport, Jenny (Jim) Machart of Lockport, a brother: David Awalt of Eldorado, a sister: Betty (Harvard) Keefe of Springfield, 12 grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
