Dwain Roland Coffee, 84, of Kankakee, Illinois passed away Friday, August 9, 2020, at Riverside Hospital in Kankakee, Illinois. Dwain was born on July 12, 1936 in Raleigh, Illinois to Kenneth Coffee and Marjorie (Davis) Coffee. Dwain is survived by a son, Ronald Coffee of San Diego, CA; daughter, Rhonda Hoskins and son-in-law Craig Hoskins of Mt. Vernon, IN; sister, Carol Edwards and brother-in-law Russ Edwards of Virden, IL; along with three grandchildren, one niece and two nephews. Mr. Coffee graduated from Eldorado High School in 1954 and attended Carbondale University. He had previously worked for General Mills in Kankakee, Illinois and Miles Laboratories in Kankakee where he retired as a chemical operator. He attended Gospel Assembly Church in Bourbonnais, Illinois. He enjoyed watching baseball games and fishing. Dwain resided at Gilman Healthcare Center in Kankakee County where he appreciated the good food and kind staff. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon Kucewesky. A graveside service will be held Friday, August 21, 2020 at 11am at Raleigh Masonic Cemetery with Rev. L.D. Jolly officiating.
