Edith Marie (Unthank) Rister

Edith Marie “Edie” Rister, 84, resident of Eldorado passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at Eldorado Nursing and Rehab.  Edith was born May 17, 1934 in Eldorado to the late John and Bessie (Reeder) Unthank.  On December 15, 1986 she married Freddie Tim Rister who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.  She is survived by a daughter: Lisa (Jim) Bedinger of Taylorville, 2 sons: Ron (Stacey) Rister of Ridgway and Scott (Juanita) Rister of New Haven two brothers: Joe (Martha) Unthank of Eldorado, Don (Shirley) Unthank of Eldorado, two sisters: Anna Lee Owen of Effingham, Thelma Cook of Eldorado, 5 Grandchildren:  Jessica (Tyrone) Wood, Jordan Rister ( Michaela Barber ), Cody (Lynsey) Cusic, Audra (Aaron) Ratliff, and Dylan Rister and 7 Great Grandchildren: Savannah, Hudson and Bennett Wood, Kanyon and Kayla Rister, Brantley Ratliff and Emersyn Cusic. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother John Unthank and two sisters: Barbara Mayberry and Mary Brown.  Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Mike Fields officiating.
