Jenny (Genieve) Briddick, 90, resident of Eldorado, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Ferrell Hospital. She was born to Sherman and Oleva (Baker) Kingston on September 9, 1933, along with her twin sister Willabea (Joe) Mosby, who proceeded her in death in 2017. On August 27, she married Billy Briddick who proceeded her in death in 2019. Jenny worked at the Eldorado Middle School as a cook for many years until she retired at 78. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church in Eldorado. Jenny is survived by her four children, Yolanda (JP) Woolard of Eldorado, Sandy (Jim) Butler of Newburgh, IN, Alyn Bruce (Tamara) Briddick of Eldorado and Letha (Bert) Ashby of Eldorado. A brother, Harry (Carol) Kingston of Fairview Heights, IL and a sister, Carla (Matt) McDonald of Harvest, AL. Grandchildren, Jaymi (Doug) Fitzpatrick, Brad (Jennifer) Dykes-Woolard, Julie Cherry, Adam (Jamie) Briddick, Jake and Ashley Wideman, Melissa(Robbie) Sturgill and Whitney (Neal) Hale. Great-Grandchildren Kyle Fitzpatrick, Grant and Henry Stoerger, Carter and Carlie Cherry, Tiana (Brandon) Powell, Cain, Mallori, and Abigail Briddick, Brantley and Wyatt Wideman, Montreiko, Azrah and Zaria Peacock, Austin, Jaxon and Grayson Sturgill, Ethan and Evan Hale. Great-Great-Grandchildren Oliver and Elliot Powell and Asher Sturgill along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, husband and twin sister, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Dorothy. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, April 12, 2024 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service with the Rev. Russell Helton officiating. Jenny will be laid to rest alongside her husband Billy at Cottage Grove Cemetery.
