George Edwin Hardesty, 73, resident of Carrier Mills passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Harrisburg Medical Center. George was born February 7, 1945 in Danville, Illinois to the late George Hardesty Sr. and Beverly (Livengood) Hardesty. George married the former Julie L. Bailey who survives. Prior to retirement he worked at Raben Tire in Harrisburg. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong Ham Radio operator. In addition to his wife George is survived by a son: William Hardesty, 5 Daughters: Teresa Wells, Angela Hardesty, Mary Thacker, Nicole Kann, Stephanie Richardson, 4 brothers: Ron Hardesty, Terry Hardesty, Thomas Hardesty, Robert Hardesty, 5 sisters: Debi Simonin, Connie Murdock, Anita Isaacson, Barbara Mann, Malissa Weiser, 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Patrick Hardesty. All arrangements are private.
