Henry R. Massey

Henry R. Massey, 79, resident of Raleigh passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at his residence. Henry was born on August 23, 1943 in Eldorado, Illinois to the late Fay H. and Alma (Jones) Massey. Henry was married to the former Vonnie Naas who preceded him in death on September 6, 2022. Henry is survived by a son: Brian (Carri) Massey of Raleigh, two step-daughters: Lisa (Craig) Conner of Denver, Tracy (Rob) Nelson of Raleigh, a brother: Ted R. Massey of Galatia, four grandchildren: Samantha Massey, David Potter, Jewel Massey, Catherine Massey, three step grandchildren: Ned Conner, Dan Conner, Ally Nelson, eight great grandchildren: Owen Zentz, Raelee Massey, Addyson Potter, Emmitt Potter, Eathan Potter, Caleb Potter, Spencer Potter, Eliza Potter and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a daughter: Connie Rae Massey, two brothers: Joe Massey, Jack Massey and a sister: Mary Ruth Kight. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Leslie Ferrell and Tammy Luckett for all they did for Henry.  You are both very special people. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 21. 2023 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Jeff Rush officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday. Burial will be in Raleigh Masonic Cemetery. In addition to flowers memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
