James David Nichols, 92, resident of Eldorado passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021. James was born May 14, 1929 in Eldorado to the late Homer and Myrle (Johnston) Nichols. He married the former Wanda Fay Hamilton that preceded him in death on April 4, 2013. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was an LPN and worked in nursing prior to retirement. James is survived by two daughters: Gayla (Kenny) Roe of Junction, Deborah Blount of Spokane, Washington, a sister: Henrietta “Sandy” Franklin of Louisville, KY, grandchildren: Issac Oxford of Newport, Washington, Daniel (Cecilia) Oxford of Issaquah, Washington, Sarah Oxford of Spokane, Washington, Julie (Kevin) Roe-Skurat of Herrin, Allen Roe of Junction, several great grandchildren and one great great grandson. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by three brothers: William, Robert and Ernest and three sisters: Dorothy Peterson, Edith Reader and Sue Ellen Nichols. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Hunt officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 am to service time at the funeral home.
