Jerry L. Milligan

Jerry L Milligan, 85, resident of Harrisburg passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Saline Care Nursing and Rehab in Harrisburg. Jerry was born September 25, 1939 in Cave-in-rock, Illinois to the late Aurthur Floyd and Ruby (Simmons) Milligan. Jerry served in the US Navy. He was a carpenter by trade. Jerry is survived by his former wife Shirley Savinski, his longtime girl friend; Irma Ward, three sons; Tim Moore of Elizabethtown, Randy (Stacey) Milligan of Harrisburg, Jerry Milligan of Herrin, a brother; Bethel G. Milligan of Harrisburg, four sisters; Helen “Sissy” Balnis of Chicago, Myretta Mills of Cave-in-rock, Gloria Webb of Paducah, Thelma Jean Dent of Naperville, grandchildren; Brandon Moore of Junction, Samantha Woomer of VA, Garrett Rickenberg of Chester, Christina Rickenberg of Chester, Mason (Erin) Milligan of SC, Matthew (Jessica) Milligan of Carbondale, Amanda (Robert) Smith of Harrisburg, Sara Milligan of IN, Sam Milligan of Carrier Mills, great grandchildren; Olivia, Nikolas, Zackary, Addison, Alexis, Jaycee, Laycee, Sloane, Julia and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters; Lynn Rickenberg, Lori Milligan, five brothers; Arthur F. Milligan, Jr., William “Billy” Milligan, Charles “Jackie” Milligan, James “Jimmy” Milligan, Joey Ray Milligan and two sisters; Zona Faye Judge and Judith Milligan. Mr. Milligan was cremated and a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
