Jerry Turpin Obituary

Jerry Lee Turpin, age 87, resident of Eldorado passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026. He was born October 11, 1938 in Monticello, Kentucky to the late Leon and Gladys Turpin. Jerry was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, where he served in many leadership roles and actively supported mission work throughout his life. He graduated from Norris City High School, Class of 1956, and later attended SIC following his military service. Jerry proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. Jerry spent many years working in oilfield production, building a long and respected career. In his free time, he enjoyed playing music, especially the guitar and banjo, and found great joy in farming. Jerry will be remembered for his faith, dedication to family, strong work ethic, and love of music and the land. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kerin Jane Turpin, sister, Mary Turpin, daughter, Lee Ann McDaniel, grandchildren; Joshua (Jenny) Turpin, Maranda (Jeff) Dodgson, Karen (Tim) Schmittler, Dawn (Anthony) Limon, Allen Comstock, Sarah (Robinson) Goldman, Jessica (Ron) Adams, and Jon (Shana) Turpin.  In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sons, Guy Turpin and Jeff Turpin; his siblings, Frank Turpin, Christine Bramstedt, Bob Turpin, and Joann Stroud; and his grandson, Robert Turpin. Jerry was a proud great-grandfather to 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Jerry will be cremated and there will be no services at this time.
