Jerry Wiseman Obituary

Jerry D. Wiseman, 81, a resident of Harco, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Ferrell Hospital. He was born on February 7, 1945, in Raleigh, Illinois, to the late Glen and Jewel (Matthieu) Wiseman. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Navy before beginning a career as a butcher. He was a devoted family man who cherished every opportunity to spend time with those he loved. Whether sharing stories, offering a helping hand, or simply enjoying the company of his children and grandchildren, Jerry found his greatest joy in his family. Jerry was first married to Carol (Abney) Wiseman, and they shared 30 wonderful years of marriage until her passing. He later married Sharon (Yarber) Wiseman, with whom he also shared many happy years until her passing. He is survived by his daughters, Julie Triplett, Tanya Kimbro, Trinity Wiseman, and Michaela Hoots; his son, Willie (Carolyn) Wiseman; his stepson, Ronnie (Terra) Vailes; his siblings, Glendal Wiseman, Brenda Couch, and Ronald Gene Wiseman; his sister-in-law, Charlene Wiseman, the surviving widow of his late brother, Clyde Dean Wiseman; his grandchildren, Noah Triplett, Natalie (Josh) Farmer, Taryn McCluskey, Jayden McCluskey, Felisha Arthur, Laramie Heflin, and Breanna Heflin; his step-grandchildren, Keyten Vailes, Dalton Holland, and Addilynn Holland; several great-grandchildren; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wives, Carol (Abney) Wiseman and Sharon (Yarber) Wiseman; his son, Michael Wiseman; his sister, Donna Kimmel; and his brother, Clyde Dean Wiseman. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Raleigh Masonic Cemetery. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery.
