Jimmy “Red” Choate, 77, resident of Stonefort passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 at his residence. Jimmy was born March 4, 1947 in Big Bay, Illinois to James and Pauline Choate. He was a retired lumberjack. Jimmy is survived by two children: Greg (Tammy) Choate, Riley Choate, Scott Spruell who was like a son to Jimmy, grandchildren: Brady (Tina) Choate, Walker (Samantha) Choate, Hannah Choate, Hayden Choate, Libby Choate, Troy (T.J.) Bolten, Jr., Camela Cleveland, Zackary Bolton, 17 great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law: Lisa Lambert, good friends: John and Becky Alexander and Roger Gunning. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son: Troy Choate, two grandchildren: Laura Hall, Christian Choate and a great grandson: Allen Choate.
