John K. Shaw

John K. Shaw, 64, resident of Harrisburg passed away at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale Thursday, July 6, 2023. John was born in Champaign on February 22, 1959 to the late Bobbie Owen and Chuck Shaw. John is survived by two daughters: Haleigh (Jeff Orman) Shaw of Cave-in-rock, Jessica (Sam) Telford of Salem, granddaughters: Charleigh Orman, Jolie Telford, Jemma Telford, Jacey Telford, siblings: Ronnie Shaw of Harrisburg, Connie Cummins of Eldorado, Marsha (Willie) Hopson of Eldorado, Angel Owen of Harrisburg, Edward Owen of Harrisburg, several nieces and nephews and former wives Rene Denton of Cave-in-rock and Julie Shaw of Harrisburg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Rusty Shaw, a granddaughter Willow Sheedy, a brother-in-law: Jim Cummins, and a niece: Tonya Hopson. John was very proud of his early mining accomplishments. He was a very hardworking and kind hearted person. John loved his family dearly. Services will be private.
