John Patrick McGuire

John Patrick McGuire, 88, resident of Junction passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023 with his family by his side. Pat was born September 20, 1935 in Ridgway, Illinois to the late James and Louise (Munstermann) McGuire. On November 26, 1964 he married the former Sharon C. Naas who survives. Pat served in the US Army as a Paratrooper, and he was a lifelong farmer. He was loved by many. In addition to his wife Sharon, Pat is survived by three daughters: Dana (Deon) Scott of Junction, Lori (Steven) Payne of Ina, Jennifer McGuire of Junction, 9 grandchildren: James Scott, Alex Scott, Jonathan (Destinee) Payne, Ryan (Olivia) Payne, Danielle (River) Doss, John Lowe, Dustin Lowe, Tyler Lowe, Patrick Lowe, 3 great grandchildren: Reece Crane, Kaitlynn Lowe, Ruth Payne and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister: Mary Ann Mobley. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Monday, November 6, 2023 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Blake Clayton officiating. Visitation will be Monday 11:00 am until service time on Monday. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Ridgway.
