Joseph William Potts

Joseph “Joe” William Potts, 75, resident of Harrisburg passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Harrisburg Medical Center. Joe was born February 19, 1949 in Harrisburg to the late Clarence William and Francis Loveta (Baker) Potts. He married the former Marsha McDermott who survives. He served in the US Army. Prior to retirement he was a manager at United Cities Gas Company and later Atmos. Joe was an avid reader and had a thirst for knowledge. Early in life he had a love for motorcycles and electronics and flew model airplanes. Even though he had several hobbies and interests, the most important and valuable thing in his life was his family.  He cherished his wife, son and especially his grandchildren.  They were his world. He was a very loving and generous person. Joe is survived by his wife Marsha Potts of Harrisburg, his son and daughter-in-law: Joshua James and Kathryn Potts of Cobden, sisters: Gail (Jim) Brandsasse of Christopher, Judy (Bill) Williams of Harrisburg, Lynn Potts of Harrisburg and three grandchildren: Willow Potts, Odin Potts and Godsden Potts.
