Joseph "Jody" Ray Dolden

Joseph “Jody” Ray Dolden, 69, of Eldorado, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Ferrell Hospital.

Jody was born on August 13, 1956, in Joliet, Illinois, to Joseph and Roena Dolden. He was a proud sanitation worker who loved camping, spending time in the hills, and simply being at home. Above all, Jody cherished his family. He was known as a simple, loving man with a big heart.

He is survived by his mother, Roena Dolden; brother, Gregory (Jane) Dolden; sons; Scott Barton, Shannon Barton, sisters, Debra (Todd) Gulley and Gail (Jack) Bean; cousin who was more like a brother, Kennith Ray Murphy; and lifelong friend, Joe Potts. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Jody was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Andrew Dolden, and brothers, Steven Beaver Dolden, Anthony Bony Dolden, and Kevin Dee Dolden.
