Joseph “Joey” Raymond Rovito, 49, of Eldorado, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026, in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on January 28, 1977, in Eldorado, Illinois, to the late Steven Bartough and Carolyn Grisham. Joey attended South Street Baptist Church. Though his life was not without its challenges, those who knew him will remember the love he carried for his family and the special bond he shared with those closest to him. He treasured time spent with his children and was especially proud to be a grandfather. The moments he shared with his loved ones, whether through laughter, stories, or simply being together, will remain cherished memories for years to come. He is survived by his daughter, Haven (Sabastion) Fasolo; his son, Nyles Sumner; his granddaughter, Nova Fasolo; his sister, Lori Rovito; his uncles, Melvin (Starlea) Grisham and Marion “Cork” Grisham; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends whose lives were touched by his presence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven Bartough and Carolyn Grisham, and his grandparents, Loretta and Marion Grisham. Joey's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, but his memory will continue to live on through the stories shared, the lessons learned, and the love he leaves behind. Though he is gone from this earthly life, he will forever remain a part of the hearts of his family and friends, who will miss him dearly and remember him always. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, services starting at 1:00 PM with Rev. Aaron Phelps officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 AM Tuesday until service time at the funeral home.
